Tras haber tenido el privilegio de ver la exposición «Zero» en el Martin Gropius Bau de Berlín en 2016, Daniel se impregnó de las ideas y los sentimientos de crear obras de arte hechas a mano y sin alterar. Sin tecnología y empapado del arte del trabajo manual, Daniel se inspira en el impulso y en la sensación plena de trabajar con la mente y
memoria.
El acto de crear una obra de arte, o el impulso de trabajar con materiales desconocidos, ha dado lugar a un conjunto de obras que no son conocidas por la mano, pero que se reconocen por la conexión espiritual con los materiales.
Un corte en el dedo puede llevar a un objeto familiar que luego continúa para formar una historia. Estas conexiones crean o forman un mundo que permite que las cosas sean soportables y formativas para seguir adelante con futuras investigaciones.
Having had the privilege to have seen the exhibition “Zero” at the Martin Gropius Bau in Berlin back in 2016, Daniel became infused with the ideas and sentiments of creating works of art that are hand-based and unaltered. The lack of technology and infused with the art of handwork, Daniel is inspired by impulsion and a full sense of working from mind and memory.
The act of creating a piece of art, or the impulse to work with unfamiliar materials has created a body of work that is not known to the hand but is recognized by the spiritual connection to the materials.
A cut on the finger may lead to a familiar object that then continues on to form a story. These connections make or form a world that allows things to be bearable and formative for forging on with future investigations.
